MY STORY
I am an innovator and designer by heart. As a young child I was fascinated with opening up my toys to find out how they worked on the inside.

Following my passion I studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Western Australia. At the time of selecting my third year student project I met a paraplegic in a hospital car park who told me "if I had one wish it would be to ride again". I took this wish on and successfully designed and built a hand controlled motorcycle which was ultimately approved for road use by the Department of Transport.

Following my uni project, I was overwhelmed by the number of people with disabilities approaching me asking for help to fulfill their dreams. Using my entrepreneurial spirit I started a charity called the Dreamfit Foundation.

Dreamfit quickly grew from my home shed into a professional organisation operating out of a dedicated workshop, employing a team of engineers, designers, and technicians. Together we built hundreds of custom and bespoke solutions each year. Whilst it wasn't our focus, several of the designs went into production and retailed across the country including Segway wheelchairs, electronic fishing devices and robotic art easels.

I led the organisation as the CEO and the Senior Designer on hundreds of projects across a 13 year span before merging Dreamfit with another not-for-profit organisation in 2015 and standing aside in 2016.

I am now operating as a freelance designer out of a home studio workshop. Most recently I have been engaged by a government department to design and build an accessible and innovative piece of equipment for installation into an iconic public space.
